Michigan Stay-At-Home Order Extended to June 12, Whitmer: We are not out of the woods yet.
Lansing (Blossomland News) - Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer extended the stay-at-home order until June 12 in an announcement today. Public venues including theaters, gyms, and casinos in Michigan will remain closed until at least June 12th.
"If we’re going to lower the chance of a second wave and continue to protect our neighbors and loved ones from the spread of this virus, we must continue to do our part by staying safer at home," she said in a statement to the Detroit Free Press.
Michigan courts upheld the governor's emergency powers in a decision on Thursday.
